Eligibility

  • Candidates must have successfully completed the Class XII examination or hold a diploma post Ten years of schooling from any stream recognized by the relevant boards of the Government of India.
  • Candidates must be able to produce originals of mark sheets/certificates on or before 1st August 2025 to be eligible for admission.

The selection to the programme will be based on the prior academic record of the candidates, scores obtained in the entrance test and personal interview

Entrance Test

Applicants are required to appear for the IIMK BMS Aptitude Test (IIMK BMS AT) 2025, which comprises two sections assessing the applicant's aptitude in Verbal Ability and Quantitative Ability. The test will adhere to a multiple-choice format and will be administered at designated centers. It will be conducted as a computer-based examination.

Exemptions from the Entrance test 

Candidates who have valid JEE (Mains) scores or valid SAT or ACT scores are exempted from appearing for the IIMK-BMS AT. Such candidates will be short listed based on their standardised test scores reported.  Applicants must ensure that official test results are submitted at the time of application. 

Shortlisting for Personal Interview

From the eligible candidates, a shortlist of candidates in each category will be prepared based on an Aggregate Index Score (AIS). The AIS is computed based on the test score performance and the academic performance in Class XII /Diploma or equivalent and marks obtained in Class X.

Personal Interview

The short-listed candidates must appear for a Personal Interview (PI). IIM Kozhikode will conduct the personal interviews in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Mumbai, and New Delhi. The entire process will last for a half-day (morning or afternoon). During the PI process, the panel will evaluate the candidates on their academic efforts and disposition, general awareness and social disposition, attitude, personality and communication skills, and also overall fit for the program. The interview is expected to take around 15 minutes per candidate.

Final Selection

After the Personal Interview (PI), a final score will be calculated based on the scores assigned in the interview , standardized scores from the entrance test and academic performance in the preceding exams as reported by the candidate.
A merit list will be created for each category using the final scores.
Admission offers will be given to candidates based on the merit list, following the Government of India reservation norms.

Reservation Policy

IIM Kozhikode will follow the Government of India reservation policy for admission to Central Educational Institutions (CEIs).

Reservation is available as per norms for the following category of candidates. Please opt for the relevant category and submit the required document while filling the application form.

  1. Other Backward Classes Non Creamy layer (NC-OBC)
  2. Scheduled Caste (SC)
  3. Scheduled Tribe (ST)
  4. Persons with Disability (PwD)
  5. Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)
