Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP) in Management is a two years master's degree programme in management offered on Interactive Learning (IL) platform. The objective of the programme is to impart management education to working professionals seeking skills and strategies to take their organizations to the next level. The duration of the Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP) in Management is two academic years split into seven quarters. Each academic year normally begins in November/December. The structure of the Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP) in Management programme for working executives is divided into 3 modules, viz.,
Module 1 : Foundation and Functional Core Courses.
Module 2 : Electives.
Module 3 : Compulsory Advanced Courses.
Each course in the MBA Programme is structured around the concept of credits. Each credit represents 10 hours of contact sessions. Participants should note that each hour of instruction will normally require at least another three hours of preparation.
Instructors choose from multiple pedagogical tools including lecture-discussions, case study method, behavioral and computer-based simulations, projects, class presentations, and various forms of technology-based learning such as multi-media case analysis, video conferencing, and e-learning, to facilitate effective learning in their courses.
Foundation and Functional Core Courses- Module 1
The first year of the programme is divided into two terms and each term is further divided into two quarters. The first year contributes to compulsory core courses covered in 380 hours of instruction of which, approximately 30 hours are based on an In-Campus module, of duration one week conducted in the premises of IIMK and the remaining approximately 350 hours are covered on the interactive learning platform.

Elective Courses- Module 2
The second year of the programme is divided into three Quarters. The Second year of the curriculum contributes to elective courses offered by various academic areas like Marketing, Strategy, Operations, Finance, Human Resources and Information Technology. Participants should choose elective courses accounting to 28 credits in total (all three quarters put together) from a bouquet of courses from all subject areas to cover up 280 hours of instructions. In addition to three Quarters of learning, there are two in-campus modules; one at the beginning of the second year and one at the end of the second year each of which is of one week duration.
Compulsory Advanced Courses- Module 3
During the second year, programme would be covering the compulsory courses such as Leadership and Corporate Accountability, International Business, Capstone Simulation & Business Plan Project. These courses are delivered during the second and third in-campus module. The successful completion of these modules is essential to be eligible for the Degree.
In-Campus Module
The programme starts with the in campus module at IIMK campus giving the participant a brief orientation of the programme & a platform to interact with the well experienced faculties.
There are three In-Campus modules which are mandatory. The first in-campus module is held at the beginning of the first year, second at the beginning of the second year and third at the end of the second year. The three modules of six-day each provides the participants an orientation towards case based learning, foundation to analytical thinking , orients them to the learning culture of IIMK apart from discussions on contemporary issues in management practice and trends in the industry and business.
The specific list of electives to be offered will be announced before the completion of the first year of the programme.

A Bachelor's Degree* or its equivalent in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate mark or equivalent CGPA.
3 Years of managerial/ entrepreneurial/ professional experience** after successful completion of graduation as on the deadline of submitting the application online
Work experience before completion of graduation will not be considered for eligibility. An experience certificate issued by the current employer dated after the online application submission date is necessary in the case of candidates who have exactly 3 years work experience while applying for the programme. In the case of candidates with more than 3 years work experience while applying for the programme, latest experience certificate along with other experience certificates justifying the 3 years will be sufficient.
*Bachelor's degree awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 (https://www.ugc.ac.in/oldpdf/Consolidated%20list%20of%20All%20Universities.pdf ) or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in the bachelor's degree would be calculated based on the practice followed by the university/institution from where the candidate has obtained the degree. In case the candidates are awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the conversion of grades/CGPA to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the university/ institution from where they have obtained the bachelor's degree. In case the university/ institution does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing the candidate's CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the result with 100.

The date of issue of the provisional certificate/ original degree certificate/ convocation date (whichever is earlier) will be considered as the date of graduation to calculate the work experience after the graduation.
IIM Kozhikode follows the Government of India reservation policy for admission to Central Educational Institutions for admission to the Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management. Candidates seeking relaxation in the aggregate mark in graduation are required to submit necessary supporting documents along with application form.

Admission & Selection Process:
Eligibility of the participants to apply for the programme is ascertained based on the information provided in the application form & supporting documents submitted. All eligible candidates required to undergo the selection process, which consists of an entrance test EMAT followed by personal interview.
The institute reserves the right to decide a cut-off mark based on the total number of candidates, average marks scored or any other factors as may be relevant.
Candidates who are found eligible to apply & successfully gone through the selection process will be provisionally shortlisted for the programme & offer letter will be issued. Admission to the programme is subject to acceptance of offer letter and payment of fee applicable.
The test and interview will be conducted online and the details will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates after the registration closure date.
EMAT-Executive Management Aptitude Test
EMAT would assess the basic logical, numerical and verbal ability of candidates, necessary for successful completion of the programme. The objective of the screening test is to filter the entry of candidates to the Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management for working professionals offered by IIMK in order to ensure the required standards by assessing the capabilities of the applicants in an objective manner. The test will be designed and evaluated by IIMK.
The contents of the test will be questions on testing logical reasoning in addition to questions for testing numerical, data interpretation and verbal skills of the candidates. The test will be of one-hour duration consisting 40 questions. The three separate sections are those which test (i) Quantitative Ability (ii) Data Interpretation & Logical reasoning and (iii) Verbal ability.
The institute reserves the right to decide a cut-off mark based on the total number of candidates, average marks scored or any other factors as may be relevant.
ELIGIBLITY CRITERIA FOR SELECTION
(a) EMAT score is considered only as a preliminary screening process for selection of applicants. Those applicants who satisfy the minimum cut off as per the following table for EMAT will be considered eligible for the next stage of selection process.

Validity of EMAT Score:
EMAT score obtained by the candidate will be valid for this academic year/batch only if a candidate has successfully qualified in the EMAT and could not join the programme due to any reasons may have to appear for EMAT once again, if he/she is applying for the same programme in future.
