Eligibility

The following minimum eligibility criteria will be applied to all candidates who have opted for IIM Kozhikode. Candidates who are applying using the CAT score must obtain a positive (greater than zero) scaled score in all sections of CAT 2023.

• Those candidates who have a Graduation Degree must secure a minimum of 60 percent aggregate marks in their Graduation Degree.
• Those candidates who do not have a Graduation Degree but have completed CA/CMA (ICWA)/CS must secure a minimum of 50 percent aggregate marks in CA/CMA (ICWA)/CS.
• Those candidates who have secured 50 percent aggregate marks in CA/CMA (ICWA)/CS and have a Graduation Degree must secure a minimum of 60 percent aggregate marks in their Graduation Degree.
• Candidate must possess a valid score in CAT 2023/GRE/GMAT (In the case of GRE/GMAT the test has to be taken between 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023, both days inclusive)
• Must meet the minimum eligibility criteria as specified in Table 1.

*The percentage of marks obtained in Class X and Class XII would be the aggregate marks of all subjects that appear in the marks sheet or grade sheet, irrespective of whether the Board considers them for calculation of percentage.

¹ Candidates who have not received any marks in their Graduation /Class 12th (due to Covid-19 pandemic) but have a pass certificate will be accepted to Stage 2 subject to providing a self-declaration in Stage-1 about the non-availability of marks. Independent vetting may be conducted for Graduation with the concerned University/College.

² For CAT, the applicable sections are- Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA); for GMAT, GMAT Focus Edition and GRE the applicable sections are Quantitative and Verbal Reasoning.

For applicants in the final year of bachelor's degree:

A candidate who is in the final year of a bachelor's degree, if selected, would be allowed to join the Programme provisionally only if he/she submits a certificate by June 30 2024, from the Principal/Registrar of his/her college/institute (issued on or before June 30, 2024) stating that the candidate has completed all the requirements for obtaining the bachelor's degree on the date of the issue of the certificate.

The admission would be confirmed only when the candidate submits the mark sheet and a certificate of having passed the bachelor's degree referred to in the certificate issued by the Principal/Registrar with at least an aggregate percent 60.

Non-fulfilment of this condition would automatically result in the cancellation of the provisional admission.

IIMK would not allow any candidate to join the programme in case the candidate is unable to complete all the requirements for a bachelor's degree on or before June 30, 2024. Applicants should note that the mere fulfilment of minimum eligibility criteria would not ensure shortlisting by IIMK.
