Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) has retained the top honours in National Institutional Rankings Framework (NIRF) rankings of the Union Ministry of Education. Higher educational institutions in Kerala have advanced significantly in the India Rankings 2024 released on Monday under the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). Kerala University, the Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat), Mahatma Gandhi University, and Calicut University have secured the 9th, 10th, 11th, and 43rd positions respectively in a new category for State Public Universities.
The all-India ranks announced under the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) on Monday offered a mixed bag for the universities in the state. Kerala University retained its position as the top-ranked varsity in the state, improving its rank from 24 last year to 21.
