The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) has made a remarkable global debut in the Financial Times (FT) Executive Education Custom Ranking 2025, securing the 87th position worldwide. This significant milestone underscores the Institute’s rapid ascent as a trusted global partner for customized executive learning solutions.
In the Custom Programme category, IIMK performed strongly in several areas including Programme Design , New Skills & Learning , Faculty, Aims Achieved and Value for Money —a testament to the Institute’s ability to align academic expertise with client-specific goals, and to co-create executive programmes that are contextually rich, research-informed and impact-driven.
This global debut comes on the back of IIM Kozhikode’s sustained presence in the FT Executive Education Open Enrolment Rankings, where the Institute has been featured for the third consecutive year since 2023. In the 2025 edition, IIMK is ranked 76th globally, reflecting its consistent excellence in delivering world-class open programmes for senior professionals across industries.
In the Open Enrolment Ranking, IIMK demonstrated high participant satisfaction with an overall score of 8.78 (out of 10) and competitive performance in key areas such as Aims Achieved , Teaching Methods & Materials, Faculty, and New Skills & Learning. The Institute also saw continued progress on diversity and global reach indicators, with 40% female participation, a notable score in International Participants, and Growth, underlining its expanding footprint in global executive education.
Speaking on the twin recognition, Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, Director of IIM Kozhikode, said: “The Financial Times rankings validate IIM Kozhikode’s growing global stature in executive education. Our debut in the Custom Ranking and continued success in Open Enrolment reflect a dual strength—our ability to design transformative learning experiences for both organisations and individuals. This achievement reaffirms our vision of creating global leaders anchored in Indian wisdom and innovation.”
The FT Executive Education Rankings are among the most influential global benchmarks for non-degree executive programmes. These rankings are based on detailed client and participant feedback (weighted at 80%), along with school-reported data (weighted at 20%), with over 4,800 respondents contributing to the 2025 Open Ranking and 1,000 for the Custom Ranking.
As IIM Kozhikode accelerates its global outreach through academic collaborations, digital offerings, and leadership development initiatives, its executive education programmes continue to play a pivotal role in shaping agile, purpose-driven leaders in an increasingly complex world.
