PGP-Finance is a two-year full-time masters level program designed to equip students to pursue careers in the financial world, in domains such as corporate finance, investment banking, and wealth management. It is developed in consultation with the various stakeholders in the core finance and allied services industry and aspires to meet the significant unmet industry need that exists in India and South Asia. This translates to a steady demand from this sector for skilled and motivated individuals with expertise in finance. In line with the vision to innovate and excel in business education, Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) is introducing an innovative Post Graduate Programme in Finance (PGP-Finance) to equip candidates with the necessary skills to lead the growth in the financial services sector.
The Post Graduate Programme in Finance (PGP-Finance) at IIMK is a unique offering, which is benchmarked against similar global programs in terms of program content and coverage, while providing the participants a strong grounding in the Indian context through means of immersive courses, interaction with industry leaders and on-site/ trading floor visits.
A post-graduation in finance is a globally recognised qualification focussed on financial theory & application, with an aim to equip young graduates with knowledge and skills necessary for a successful career in the core finance, fintech, banking and financial services industry.
a) Educational Qualification:
Graduate degree or equivalent in any discipline with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. (AIU equivalency certificates must be presented during registration if your degree was obtained at a foreign university)
b) A candidate should have a valid test as on the closing date of submission in any of the following tests:
i) GMAT: Overall score of 560 (Classic version), not older than three years.
* The score from Focus edition will be updated
ii) GRE: 60th percentile in all sections or overall 320, whichever is minimum, not older than three years
iii) CAT: 80th percentile (only test scores from CAT 2023 will be accepted)*

* IIMK PGP code for GMAT is D3Z-SQ-80 and for GRE is 4748-Indian Institute of Management. Use these codes to have your score sent directly to IIMK. Your official score report from Pearson / GMAC (for the GMAT) or ETS (for the GRE) will be used for verification.
c) English Eligibility Criteria should be one of the following:
i) TOEFL/IELTS: More than 70th percentile/percentage.
ii) A degree from an Institute in an English-speaking country (India, UK, Canada, US, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand)
iii) A certificate from the last degree-granting Institute that the student has demonstrated proficiency in English as a foreign language. You can upload this certificate along with other documents in the application form.

d)For Indian Nationals & Foreign Nationals
i) Indian Nationals
In order to qualify as an International Candidate for the purpose of applying to PGP/PGP Finance/PGP-LSM 2024-26, a candidate should have been residing outside India for a period of not less than 18 months as on January 1, 2024, and be outside India on the CAT 2023 examination date. The Indian nationals who are living, working, or studying abroad should produce a certificate from the Indian Embassy/High Commission/Consulate of the country where the candidate is currently based, stating that the candidate has been resident in that country continuously for a period of not less than 18 months as on January 1, 2024.
This certificate needs to be produced along with the admission application.
ii) Foreign Nationals
Foreign nationals need to have a valid passport/travel document from a country other than India. Foreign nationals who are present in India at the time of the Common Admission Test (CAT) are required to take the same.
The fee is 30,000 USD for the programme.

a) There will be two cycles of admission for each academic year.
The submission of applications for the cycles are:
Application Cycle 1 : 1st September 2023 to 30th November 2023
Application Cycle 2 : 15th December 2023 to 17th March 2024
b) The application fee is INR 750 (Approximately 10 USD ). This fee is waived for all those who have Study-in-India registration.
c) The applicants need to attend a virtual interview.
d) Final selection will be based on the average interview marks awarded by a panel of experts consisting of two or more IIM Kozhikode faculty members.
e) The admission office shall intimate the successful candidates within one month from the last date of the application (That is December 30, 2023 or April 17, 2024 for the respective cycles).
f) The candidates need to confirm their candidature by paying 3000 USD within one month of the receipt of the offer.
PGP (Finance) is a two year six term programme with in in-depth coverage of core finance topics in first year followed by advanced courses and electives in second year. The course listing for the 2020 admissions is provided below.

IIMK has instituted one scholarship awarding a 50% and two scholarships awarding a 25% fee waiver as scholarships for every 10 students. Accordingly, three participants in the PGP program, one in PGP LSM and one in PGP Finance would be eligible for a waiver of 50% of their fees. Similarly, six participants in the PGP program, two in PGP LSM and two in PGP Finance would be eligible for a 25% waiver of fees.
