In this study, we focus on the cultural and community aspects of the landslide-affected areas in Wayanad. The Government Higher Secondary School in Chooralmala and Religious Centres like temples, churches, and mosques have played crucial roles in creating their unique socio-cultural fabric.
A boom in tourism further enhanced this. It is also important to understand the settlement. Their shared experiences and life struggles in quarters of tea plantations have led to the development of communal harmony and bonding. Beyond religion and faith, this shared struggle has resulted in more profound connections. Understanding the culture and climate (along with topography) is a prerequisite for developing and executing an early warning system in this area.
