General Norms/ Rules
This membership is available only to Indian nationals.
External memberships are subject to approval by the Librarian.
The processing time for the application is 4-5 working days.
LIC services for external members are available Monday to Friday only.
Access to specific online resources is restricted for external members due to license terms and copyright regulations.
The IIM Kozhikode community will be given priority for all LIC facilities, resources, and services.
Membership may be cancelled, withdrawn, or rejected at any time at the discretion of the IIM Kozhikode Library & Information Centre.
Access to e-resources is generally provided through remote login.
E-resources are permitted for personal, non-commercial, scholarly purposes, including individual and academic research.
Limited downloading, printing, or saving of content (e.g., a single journal article or up to 10%/one chapter of a book) is allowed for personal use as per copyright law.
Sharing login credentials is strictly prohibited.
Mass downloading, systematic copying, or use of automated tools to extract large volumes of content is not allowed.
Redistribution, posting, circulation via email/WhatsApp, or commercial use of e-resources is strictly prohibited.
Use of resources for consultancy or commercial activities is not permitted.
Any violation of copyright or publisher licensing terms is a punishable offense.
Users must keep login credentials secure and confidential.
Avoid accessing e-resources from public or unsecured networks.
Users must comply with all copyright, fair-use, and license restrictions.
Any violation of these guidelines may result in suspension or permanent termination of access privileges.
