I am an Assistant Professor in the Economics Area at the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode. My research focuses on using agent-based models to explore macroeconomic questions, particularly how firms interact within complex supply-chain networks. Over the past decade, I have been developing a large-scale model where millions of firms make independent decisions within a dynamic supply-chain framework. This approach has allowed me to study the economic impact of various shocks, including estimating the costs of the COVID-19 lockdowns.
I earned my PhD from George Mason University and later pursued postdoctoral research at the University of Paris 1. My work sits at the intersection of computational economics, macroeconomic modeling, and policy analysis, leveraging simulations to uncover insights that traditional models might overlook
