Dominic Savio

I am Dr. Dominic Savio, an Assistant Professor at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, Tamil Nadu. With over two decades of experience spanning academia, social work, and human resource management, my journey has been driven by a deep passion for teaching, research, and community impact.
Since August 2021, I have been part of VIT, where I engage in teaching and research, guiding students to explore new perspectives in social sciences. Prior to this, I spent over seven years as an Assistant Professor at the Madras School of Social Work, shaping young minds and contributing to the field of social work education.
My career began in mental health rehabilitation as a Trainee Officer in Psychiatric Social Work at Richmond Fellowship Society (RFS), followed by a role in HR at MindTech. These experiences have given me a holistic understanding of human behavior, organizational dynamics, and mental health, which I integrate into my teaching and research today.
