I am a PhD scholar in Sociology at the University of Kerala, specializing in Gender Studies and Leadership Studies. My research focuses on the impacts of the glass ceiling among women executives in Kerala, exploring systemic barriers and unconscious biases that hinder women's advancement in the workplace.
I have a diverse academic background, holding a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature and a Master's degree in Sociology from the University of Kerala. Additionally, I completed my MPhil in Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy Studies with First Rank from CSSEIP, Cochin University of Science and Technology. Before embarking on my PhD, I worked as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Women’s Studies, University of Kerala, where I deepened my understanding of gender dynamics and policy frameworks.
Throughout my academic journey, I have contributed to the field through publications in ISBN books and presentations at international conferences. I am also an active member of the Kerala Sociological Society, engaging with scholars and practitioners dedicated to social change.
Beyond research, I am passionate about mentorship and advocacy, regularly participating in programs that empower young women to step into leadership roles. In my free time, I enjoy reading, photography, and exploring new perspectives through literature and art. My ultimate goal is to bridge the gap between academic research and real-world initiatives, working towards a future where gender equality in leadership is the norm rather than the exception.
