Executive Post Graduate Programme - FAQs

1. What is the difference between this Programme and a "regular" PGP?
   
   Regular PGP is equivalent to MBA and comprises around 1000 contact hours of course work while EPGP comprises course work of 810 hours only and is aimed at experienced managers and professionals.
   
2. Can the participants who have completed the EPGP register for Doctoral/Fellow Programme?
   
   Applicants will have to meet the eligibility requirements of the Doctoral/Fellow Programme of the institutions where they are applying and these requirements vary from one university/institute to another. As of now, there is some uncertainty as the ePGP is of recent origin in the country and we hope that our Programme would soon be recognized as Masters equivalent.
   
3. I had completed the one year EMEP/PGCPM certificate programme from IIMK. Am I eligible for course exemptions?
   
   No. Over the years, courses under different specializations and EPGP have been extensively revised.
   
4. I have already completed the six month certificate programme from IIMK. Do I have to appear in the admission test?
   
   Yes, appearing and clearing the admission test is mandatory for all six month certificate programme participants.
   
5. I had completed my graduation through a two-year course, am I eligible to apply for this programme?
   
   No. The participants are required to have a minimum of three years of under-graduate study from a recognized university or equivalent after 12 years of school education.
   
6. Do I get Placement assistance/support after completing this programme?
   
   This programme is specifically designed for working executives who can pursue management education along with their jobs/ work. The objective of the programme is to enable working executives acquire skills to take their organizations to the next level consequently IIMK does not provide any campus placement or other kind of placement support for a programme of this nature.
